Retrace vessels by seeing historical tracks
Being able to examine vessel movements is essential, whether it’s to gather investigative insights into the cause of an incident or to compile evidence for insurance purposes.
See dynamic historical tracks for individual or several ships. Select the ships and time interval that interest you and see the route a ship has followed. You can also understand the vessel’s speed and rate of turn. This feature is often used to point out operation areas of a shipping line, or for analyzing the track of a specific ship over time, which can be valuable proof in investigations.
You have the option to choose the number of position points along the route that you’d like to see, which are reported by the vessel during its journey. The route can be indicated using directional arrows, and you can also add timestamps at a chosen interval.
